Welcome to the website of the 5th European Congress on Civil Protection and Disaster Management! Here you can find all relevant information about the conference that takes place on November 05 and 06 in the city hall of Bonn. Starting with this conference, the focus of the meeting becomes enlarged – the area of civil protection receives more relevance in the programme of the conference. Therefore the former “European Congress on Disaster Management” now is the “European Congress on Civil Protection and Disaster Management”. The conference is organized by the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK), the Federal Technical Relief Agency (THW) and the newspaper Behörden Spiegel (Administration Mirror). In 2009 the meeting is supported by the Federal Ministry on Education and Science (BMBF) and the German Fire Brigades – each organisation organizes a panel session in the meeting.

Willkommen zum Online-Auftritt des 5. Europäischen Bevölkerungs- und Katastrophenschutzkongresses! Auf dieser Website finden Sie alle relevanten Informationen zu dem Kongress, der am 05. und 06. November 2009 in der Stadthalle Bonn-Bad Godesberg tagen wird. Beginnend mit der diesjährigen Veranstaltung wird die Konferenz ihre Schwerpunkte ausdehnen und das Thema Bevölkerungsschutz in den Vordergrund der Diskussionen stellen. Aus diesem Grunde wird aus dem „Europäischen Katastrophenschutzkongress„ nun der „Europäische Bevölkerungs- und Katastrophenschutzkongress“. Veranstalter sind das Bundesamt für Bevölkerungsschutz und Katastrophenhilfe (BBK), die Bundesanstalt Technisches Hilfswerk (THW) und die Zeitung Behörden Spiegel. Inhaltliche Unterstützung findet der Kongress 2009 durch das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) und die Deutschen Feuerwehren, die die inhaltliche Betreuung zweier Fachforen übernehmen.
